Shoot with More Comfort,
Accuracy and Endurance

  • 35% Less Muzzle Lift
  • 25% Less Peak Force
  • 35% Less Rock Back

to give shooters greater accuracy, less flinching and more time shooting. No grinding necessary!

5 out of 5 Wish I had this years ago

Bought an older Winchester 101 and some have been known to have a small mule packed away in them. Talked to Martin (can’t say enough good stuff about the help he has provided, especially being he will talk to you and he’s the owner of the company). I shot my 101 a few times before my pad came in and the gun wasn’t awful on the shoulder but after a box or so it would leave a mark. Installed the pad and went out and shot 150 rounds and was amazed at the difference.

The most I’ve shot was around 175 rounds and not even a mark on my arm and no soreness. I shot doves with my wife’s Rem 1187 20ga the other day and had more of a mark on my arm. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 Great pad if the 8 ounce weight and extra LOP (1 3/16" total) works for you

    AtlEngineer (verified owner)

I took one star off for the extra weight and LOP issues. I shoot both 12 Ga Beretta Upland with Kickoff, and a Fabarm L4S Sporting Grey Semi Auto guns, both 7 lb, light shooters to start with. The Kickoff recoil reduction in the Beretta is phenomenal, L4S doesn’t have it. Subjectively, this pad compares equally with 1) Beretta with Kickoff and 2) L4S with Limbsaver Slip on Pad. I bought custom model 5103, model specified for Beretta “Field” guns (smaller stock than sporting guns). It fit my Fabarm almost perfectly. It weighs 8 ounces. My Fabarm 7/8 inch 22mm pad weighs 2.2 ounces and 1.1 inch 27mm pad weighs 2.4 ounces. So it adds 5.6 to 5.8 ounces to the butt compared to a standard, lightweight pad. If you want to balance it with forearm weights, the total will be +12 ounces. I suspect the benefit for the pump, OU, SxS or Trap single shooter would far outweigh the weight and LOP issue. The longer LOP was perfect for my build.

5 out of 5 Finally shooting without pain....

    gls (verified owner)

I bought my first Falcon Strike about two months ago to for my trap gun. I decided to give it a good trial, shooting every week since. On Tuesday evening I shot 75 rounds without pain. Wednesday was practice day and I decided to shoot my back-up gun of similar weight and dimensions with a Limbsaver AirTech recoil pad which was the best I had found up to buying the Falcon Strike. After firing half dozen shots my shoulder was in pain from a rotator cuff injury I have been dealing with. Needless to say, I switched back to my Falcon Strike equipped trap gun without further pain. I just ordered another Falcon Strike for my back-up trap gun.
I was skeptical at first but the Falcon Strike worked as advertised for me without all the movement of a recoil device and has made shooting fun again

It did help a bit with recoil but I felt like it made the muzzle jump much worse which is what I was looking to get help with the most. So it didn’t help me much at all.

This is my 4th recoil pad that I have purchased from Falcon Strike. It has greatly reduced the felt recoil on my 4 shotguns. One of the best purchases that I have added to my guns. It has made shooting more enjoyable. Now if Falcon Strike can do something about the price of ammo and reloading supplies.

The Falcon Strike made such a difference in recoil reduction that I now enjoy shooting my 40 year old Nikko 5000 12ga. It has fixed chokes and really used to kick. After a couple rounds of clays you felt it in your shoulder and your cheek. I had been considering buying a new 12ga O/U for Upland Bird Hunting. Now I don’t have to spend that money. I’ll use my Nikko.

  9. Jeff Ward

5 out of 5 It lives up to the hype with a couple of small exceptions

    Jeff Ward (verified owner)

I purchased a custom fitted pad for my Beretta AL-391, hoping to reduce felt recoil while shooting Sporting Clays.
    First, the exceptions:
    1) The change in the length of pull caused my sight picture to change. It turns out that wasn’t too bad as have been seeing too much rib, causing me to shoot a little high. If this turns out to be problematic, I’ll change the shim to decrease the drop at comb.
    2) The increase in the length of pull makes it so the stock won’t fit in the Beretta hard case without first removing the Falcon Strike recoil pad. Since I normally store and transport the shotgun in a soft case this isn’t a big issue.
    The benefit:
    1) Installation was easy.
    2) Felt recoil is significantly reduced relative to the same shotgun with a 25 mm thick Beretta MicroCore recoil pad. I shot a mixture of 1 1/8 oz 1250 fps and 1 oz 1200 fps cartridges. A total of between 150-200 cartridges. At no time did I feel the tiredness that usually affects me after shooting 100+ times. Decreased fatigue lead to better shooting. I was able to focus better on the targets.
    2) After installing the Falcon Strike recoil pad and testing it, see above, I then added a little over 2 lbs to what had been a 7 1/4 lbs shotgun, a combination of a fore end balance weight and adding brass bar stock into existing holes in the buttstock and repeated my test. I perceived a slight further reduction in felt recoil while shooting the 1 1/8 oz 1250 fps loads. The improvement in felt recoil while shooting 1 oz 1200 fps loads was not noticeable. The changes in gun dynamics caused by the large change in weight and moment of inertia were very noticeable in a negative way. So much so that I plan to remove either all or at least 1/2 of the additional weight.
Bottom line: The Falcon Strike recoil pad made resulted in a significant decrease in felt recoil for me.

5 out of 5 The One and Only!

    Joe Hernandez (verified owner)

Folks, I don’t often review and/or believe too many of the reviews that I read simply because most reviews are written by those that were given the product for free. In my case I purchase my own products and really use it. I purchase my first FalconStrike recoil pad two years ago for my Ruger No.1 .375 H&H to replace the factory signature Red recoil pad, and let me tell you it was a game changer. Since then I purchased a Sako M85 chambered in .370 Sako which kicked like a full grown mule to say the very least. I took the recoil pad off of my Ruger and installed it on my Sako to see if I would even want to keep the rifle since it was not comfortable to shoot AT ALL. I took it to the range and shot two boxes of the Federal 286 grain Nosler partition moving at approximately 2550 ft./s and I could have shot another two boxes if they weren’t that expensive.

This year I purchased Howa chambered in .375 Ruger and the felt recoil on the same gun now is less than my .308 caliber rifle.

I can’t say enough about this product. The price of the product is nothing compared to purchasing a recoil pad and paying a gunsmith to fit it to your gun. You can literally install the pad yourself in a matter of minutes and it looks great and can tame any Big bore caliber felt recoil.

This is an update from my first review for my 11 year old daughter. This past Fathers Day Weekend was the ATA/AIM zone shoot for Northwest Wisconsin. Katherine shot 16 yd and Handicap 19 yd targets Friday-Sunday. Sunday night is AIM practice. Total was 700 shots in 3 days. Her flinch is 85% gone but sometimes still there when a target surprises her. She doesn’t feel any recoil pain anymore and I believe it’s all due to the Falcon Strike. Her 16 yd avg is approaching 75-80 and the first time she shot trap was in Late March. If you have a youngster just starting out with a firearm that has a fair amount of recoil this is the best solution in my humble opinion.

This pad allows this old disabled veteran to shoot again

Have not been able to shoot because I had my shooting shoulder replaced January 26,2021 and recoil pain was too severe for me.

I tried your pad that a friend had on his rifle and no pain from recoil as it was way down and that was shooting a .308
So I ordered two of these pads and as a retired engineer.
My cartilage is failing had many surgeries on my spine , shoulders and knee.
This pad will give me my hobby back.

Shooting is the only hobby I can physically perform.
This will really improve my life.

Overall I like this products function and design. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. My only concern, and I was concerned when I ordered mine was the added L.O.P. I am very reluctant to cut the stock of my 725 with adjustable comb and not be able to reshape this pad. I have tried shooting targets with it this winter with my winter shooting coat and had to switch back to the factory pad to be competitive. I will try it again this summer with just my vest. I hope it will be usable. Martin was easy to work with and was very helpful with shortening the comb adjusting screw. I feel this is a reputable company and they want to please their customers. Also the extra weight of the mounting system changed the balance and feel of the shotgun that I could maybe get used to but if there was a thinner pad I would rate it higher.

It seems a shame to forfeit the potential gain of reduced recoil because you did not want to cut your stock. Visit a reputable dealer and learn how little you would need to cut to achieve the same length of pull with a thicker pad.

Recently purchased Tikka superlight in 300 Win. Mag for future hunt. Looking for more ways to reduce recoil I instamtly thought of a recoil pad to coincide with the muzzle brake. After extensive searches and reviews I came across Falcon Stike and was impressed at its claims. I reached out via messenger on thwir website and was instantly speaking with someone. I was asked a few questions and the feedback was great. So I ordered the product and placed on my 300. Literally, just shot 10 rounds without hesitation. Recoil was reduced to what felt like less than 243. Product is AMAZING. Two others that were with me could believe it either. GUARANTEE they’ll be buying for their 300’s as well. THANK YOU FalconStrike !!!!!!

Over the years I have installed and used many of the competitors recoil systems. And after seeing the Falcon Strike show up on a couple of You Tube videos, and then checking out the website, I still had a couple of questions. So a quick email was sent, and I received a reply within 24 hrs., Wow. With good customer service and a good price like that, I have to try it ! Fast shipping and delivery, coupled with the fastest installation of any recoil system available, the only thing left to do was shoot and test it. 100 bird Sporting Clays was a good test and to compare it to my normal, identical gun fitted with the competitors system. The results are, the Falcon Strike System is everything as described, and functions amazing. I will definitely use more Falcon Strike in the future. Thanks, Bill

Great recoil reducer. The hardest problem I had was finding screws. I have an adjustable butt plate, which takes 8-32 screws. 3/16 will probably work, but I couldn’t find them. Instead, I used 1/4″ and a small rubber washer on the top screw. I could have also used two thin washers, but I didn’t want the slight LOP. Besides, I felt the rubber washer will absorb vibrations, even though I used Loctite blue. Another bonus, the reducer gave me another 1/2″ drop, which I love.

I recently purchased a Super Black Eagle III. I tested it out at the range and it was great the only draw back was after 100 shots I felt that my shoulder was inflamed (Composite Stock, Super Light Weight). I had a shoulder injury approx 3 months ago, so i’m really trying to be careful and not damage it any more than it already is. I heard a lot of good reviews about FalconStrike and wanted to test out the pad. I gave them a call and immediately I was on the phone with someone who was very knowledgeable about the product. I got all my questions answered and placed an order for my SBE3.

I received the product within 4 business days. I installed the pad within 5 mins and went out target shooting again and I was able to shoot over 500 shots and didn’t feel a thing. My should was NOT inflamed and no bruising at all. All I can say is that it is literally revolutionary.

I can not stress how impressed I am with this product. I went ahead and placed 3 more orders for my other guns. I am at a loss for words.

Not only does this company support LE and has a amazing warranty, they are there to respond to questions. I bought the Falcon Strike for my skeet gun. A Browning Citori CXS 12ga. Today was my first day out with it as it came a day early! I noticed an immediate difference in recoil absorbency, a noticeable difference in muzzle rise. The gun stayed where I pointed it for the double shots. The pad just took all back push away. It was like shooting a gun loaded with jello. The reviews are justified! Get one, even if it goes on a hard hitting rifle I’ll bet it makes a tremendous difference. I only own one over under shotgun at the moment, but when I get another one, guess what’s going on it? A Falcon Strike.

Before Installing the Falcon Strike recoil pad I had taken my rifle to the range to sight it in after installing a new scope. One of the immediate things I had noticed is the recoil of shooting the 200 grain ELD-X bullets I was feeling a considerable amount of recoil despite having a radial brake and mainly found not the recoil but hard to actually spot my shots whenever I was shooting the 600 + yards and having the zoom set at 25X. After installing the Falcon Strike I cannot believe just how much recoil was reduced, you feel as if you are shooting a completely different gun. Now being able to spot my hits at max zoom from 100 – 600 yards is really easy and even my buddy remarked how his 6.5 Creedmoor has more of a kick than my rifle. If you are into shooting extended distances and want to be able to see your hits this is the device to install onto your rifle. The recoil has went from a very sharp kick to a very soft push and allows the shooter to shoot all day without being fatigued. I will definitely be installing this on all of my other rifles!

The reduction of felt recoil isn’t real noticable with my CG but I think some foks with a shoulder problem and gun with recoil problems would love the pad. I only have 300 11/8 oz rounds thru the CG and new pad. I purchased the pads on this trap gun to have a sticky pad that would not slip in my mount, this pad does all that. My V3 will shoot 3″ mags duck and goose hunting and I hope the felt recoil will be reduced in that gun. I havn’t shot my Cortii Plus, which kicks like a muel, so I hope this will help my back up gun, over all I would purchase a Felcon Strike for your trap gun to help with felt recoil when shooting 400 rounds a day.

I’ve used a Falcon Strike recoil system on my Krieghoff K-80 Trap Special for almost a year. I’ve also added a Falcon Strike to my Remington 700 in 30-06. Falcon Strike is the real deal! And, four of my buddies started using Falcon Strike shortly after they tried mine.

In the process of determining the best fit for my K-80, Martin Gaudet offered advice and insight through email as well as phone calls.

Even if you think that you’re not “recoil sensitive” the Falcon Strike system is a distinct advantage. Reducing recoil over a day of shooting 300-400 targets gives any shooter an advantage by reducing recoil induced fatigue.

I’ve been shooting shotgun sports ,trap ,skeet and sporting clays over 25 years. In the last 3-4 years I’ve developed a flinch. I reduced the shot charge from 1 1/8 oz. to 1 oz. and 7/8 oz. This last Saturday I shot my highest score ever at sporting clays,95.I thought about quitting because of my shooting had declined but since I installed your pad I believe my shooting will continue to improve. Thank You.

    Fred Mason (verified owner)

80% Less Recoil Energy, 35% Less Muzzle Lift, 25% Less Peak Force, 35% Less Rock Back was not found on my 416 Rigby The Rock Back is the same as with the slip on pad I had before. 25% Less Peak Force is perhaps been achieved? Muzzle Lift is the same as before. Maybe 50% Less Recoil Energy but 80% should make it all but disappear? It looks a lot better than than the old slip on pad. However at least with my 416 Rigby the results in felt recoil are far below your stated numbers.

  48. Question

    s. salmon

I live, work and hunt in Arizona. Crazy swings in ambient temperatures between summers down in the desert and winters up in the mountains. I am concerned about the affect of ambient temperatures on the effectiveness and longevity of this device. It will have to live on a rifle stock in 120 degree Farenheit temps in the summer at 1000′ above sea level and also in -10 degree Farenheit temps at 8000′ above sea level. If any of that will be beyond its design parameters it may not be the right product for me. The rifle is a heavy recoiling gun capable of taking large, dangerous game. Thanks for taking the time to answer this. Steve

Hi Daniel, the best thing to do is remove the butt pad and measure it. Then enter the dimensions under the “By Measurement.” We also offer a multi-fit pad that is a guaranteed fit: https://www.falconstrikeusa.com/product/hydraulic-multi-fit-recoil-pad-for-synthetic-stocks/

Does as advertised, made a day of trap shooting much more tolerable. It will add length, if you plan on mounting to an adjustable butt plate you will have to cut your stock down a tad more than a standard pad. I had no problems mounting to the adjustable buttplate, but I did have to cut down the screws that fasten the falcon strike plate to the adjustable plate (most hardware that come with them are longer than needed for attaching through- the-pad screws). No modification to the falconstrike was needed. I had one clamp that is considerably harder to lock down than the other, although seems secure, I am a tad worried the locking system can loosen if taken on and off several times, I noticed a decent amount of wear just from taking on and off to fit to the adjustable buttplate on the locking tabs. I am a high volume trap shooter, once I get everything adjusted to where I need it I wont have to take it off anymore. A hunter or a casual target shooter shouldn’t have to worry…set it and forget it.

Not another recoil pad . original design that merits a good review . Installation is straight forward , I did go on line to find instructions that were more to my liking . I deducted a point because the base plate and pad were about 1/4 ” to long . I was careful to order as per the part number for my rifle however I suspect that this rifle has a slight variant than a standard M77 . This rifle was manufactured the late 1980’s and has very nice euorpean walnut and hand cut checkering . I was able to hide the over size by the use of a aftermarket check riser . Over all I am pleased . the next step will be to see how the recoil is mitigated.

First let me say I am 70 years old and don’t handle recoil as well as I used to. I’ve recently retired and am able to take advantage of things I’ve only dreamed of including an upcoming moose and an African hunt. I purchased an Interarms Whitworth chambered in 375 H&H magnum and have been shooting the Nosler Trophy Grade 300gr Partition bullet with 4330 ft-lb of energy. Prior to installing the Falcon Strike recoil pad I could only handle 3-4 shots before being bruised so badly I would take a minimum of two weeks to heal before being able to shoot any rifle again. Seriously, you can’t believe how bad the bruising was. With the Falcon Strike recoil pad I can easily handle 15 shots with no bruising and be ready to go again the following day. Even my wife shoots this gun now with no bruising. Not often have I run across any product that lives up to its hype as well as the Falcon Strike. I’ve since ordered a second one for my 270 and will report on it once I’ve had a chance to shoot it a few times.

5 out of 5 Good Fit, Expected Less Recoil

    Don (verified owner)

I installed this recoil reducer on my Remington 1100 for the purpose of significantly reducing the felt recoil during trap shooting. Martin was awesome in helping me find the correct size to fit my gun. It’s a very slight bit off, but hardly noticeable, and definitely functional. My first impression was that the recoil was not significantly reduced on low base trap loads, but I was surprised to find out that the recoil was the same for high base duck loads. As a veteran, they gave me a heck of a deal on the price. Looking forward to shooting more rounds of clays.

Hi Cason, We designed the FalconStrike for 4250 foot-pounds muzzle energy, regardless of the gun or action. (375 H&H, 300 WM, etc.) The 450 bushmaster tops out at 3800 ft-lbs. – you should get a significant reduction in recoil energy and felt recoil with our hydraulic pad.

This recoil pad does everything advertised and then some. I regularly shoot trap in a league and practice. I shoot at least 100 12gauge rounds per week. Flinching creeps in to everyone that shoots a lot. This recoil pad made a huge difference.I Easily mounted the proper fitting falcon strike recoil pad on my Kolar TS. I did not have to alter my stock in anyway. Hats off to falcon strike!
